For a great Friday night, look no further than the City of Maitland’s event Getdown Downtown on the first Friday of every month! The event is a monthly concert series that takes place in the heart of downtown Maitland. This family-friendly event features local musicians and bands, so you can support your community while enjoying some great music. And with plenty of restaurants, shopping, and kid zones right there on Independence Ln, you’ll have everything you need for an amazing night out on the town.
Did we mention it’s a FREE event? Yes, there is no admission! The Getdown Downtown event starts at 6pm and goes until 9pm.
Stage Rental
StageRental.com provides the Stageline SL75 stage rental with our 24 LED light package for the City of Maitland each month. For some of their larger events, our Stageline SL100 is provided.
Live Bands
The Getdown Downtown concerts have brought in some amazing talent over the past several years.
At this particular event on 3/4/22, the band Switch was on our Stageline SL75 stage performing. If you’re looking for a band that can bring the energy, make sure to check out SWITCH the next time they’re in Maitland or in the surrounding areas. They are based in Central Florida and provide everything from a small acoustic duo to a full six-piece band with several singers. They are a truly entertaining party band that performs at corporate events, concerts, and clubs.
Event Presenter
Maitland Parks and Recreation Department is the presenter for the Getdown Downtown events. MPRD oversees an impressive number of parks, facilities, and activities. The department is responsible for maintaining the city’s parks, ball fields, playgrounds, and other recreational areas.
